Dr Porpavai is a child, adolescent and family psychiatrist, with more than thirty years of experience in the field. She founded Pathways Foundation Kovai  in December 2014. She has worked in India, Australia and the UK.

Dr Porpavai has developed the PG-CAMH course and has been coordinating since 2018.  Dr Porpavai has developed the parenting program Pathways to Effective Parenting (PEP). She is passionate about upskilling young people, parents, educators and health service providers in understanding and providing support for their developmental and mental health needs.

Dr Porpavai is passionate about providing the best possible mental health outcome for the community’s number one resource, our children and youth.

Dr Porpavai loves travelling, trekking, reading, writing and spending time doing various arts and crafts whenever she can.

Dr K Selvaraj

Dr.Selvaraj was born in a village in Tamilnadu, grew up there till he joined MBBS at Thanjavur Medical College, Tamilnadu. He did his MD Psychiatry at Mumbai, at Topiwala National Medical College and Nair Hospital.

After Post-graduation, in 1993, he worked for 10 years at the Psychiatry Department at PSG Medical College, Coimbatore where he worked as the Professor and Head of the Department.

Dr Selvaraj is the founder and director of Vazhikatti mental health centre and research institute in Coimbatore.He is also the chair person of Vazhikatti Mental Health Foundation, a Not-For-Profit, Non Governmental Organization (NGO), committed to promoting Mental Health Literacy, and is the Honorary Secretary of Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Society of India- Coimbatore.

His areas of professional interest are anxiety, depression, alcoholism, child mental health and parenting. Dr.Selvaraj loves to read books and enjoys music. He loves swimming and cycling.

 

Mrs Srividhya Narayanan

MBA (Production), M.Sc. in counselling and psychotherapy, Diploma in counselling psychology, Diploma in transactional analysis, PGCAMH (Pathways).

Mrs. Srividhya was born, raised and settled in Coimbatore. Srividhya started her journey in psychology in the year 2014. She went through extensive personal therapy and training as a part of training in transactional analysis. She then realized her interest in child and adolescent mental health and joined the first batch of the PG course in child and adolescent mental health conducted by Pathways in the year 2017-2018 under the tutelage of Dr.Porpavai Kasiannan and other renowned child psychiatrists from all over the world. The in-depth knowledge gained in the course kindled deep interest in her to work in the field of child and adolescent mental health. Motivated by desire to serve the society in the area of child and adolescent mental health by doing voluntary work for children, families and schools and help them deal with various issues related mental health, she joined as a Trustee of Pathways. She manages the financial aspects of the organisation and is actively involved in various programs of Pathways, particularly in developing and disseminating THRIVE mental health curriculum in schools.

Apart from this she is also involved in giving personal counselling and marital counselling to adults online and in person. Srividhya is greatly interested in art. She is a good singer and an amateur artist in pencil portraits.

Dr Revathy

Dr.Revathy is a general practitioner and family doctor with 37 years of experience. Dr Revathy is highly regarded as a family doctor in the semi-rural area of Coimbatore where she works, and provides much need service to the senior citizen community in the area. She has previously worked as a medical officer at Sohar, Oman for four years and as a providers network head for a leading health insurance company in Dubai for five years.

Dr Revathy has been a dedicated blood donor and has donated blood more than 50 times. She is an avid dog lover and adopts and supports the welfare of street dogs. She enjoys trekking, travelling, drawing and painting and gardening. 

 

Mr M Ramakrishnan

Mr Ramakrishnan is a native of Coimbatore where he runs a successful metal business. He is passionate about providing support to the work done by Pathways in the community.
